Hydronic systems

Hydronic systems are year-round water-filled air conditioning systems.
They generally consist of a motor that heats and chills water; this heating and cooling is then distributed around the home to provide air conditioning. HIS (Hydronic Inverter System) and HGS (Hydronic Geothermal System) systems provide heating, air conditioning, dehumidification and domestic hot water production. Inverter motors and intelligent controls minimize consumption and maximize comfort in the home.
Olimpia Splendid offers hydronic systems with heat pump.

There are 3 types of water-filled system terminals:

• Radiator: this can be filled with high-temperature water only and it heats rooms by radiation.
• Fan coil: equipped with a coil where the heat conveying fluid circulates, it can be filled either with hot or cold water which is then ventilated into the room. The terminal must be filled at medium temperature (usually between 60°C and 70°C). This highly flexible terminal, air conditions, dehumidifies and heats, depending on fluid temperature.
• Radiant floor system: large-surface radiant element installed inside floor slabs, where either hot or cold thermodynamic fluid circulates. A cost-effective energy-saving solution thanks to the fact that it can be filled with low temperature fluid. (usually 35°C). It can provide cooling only if combined with a room dehumidifier.

Bi2 SYSTEM TERMINAL, FAN RADIATOR TECHNOLOGY

Olimpia Splendid has designed the BI2 range, a revolutionary solution that combines the comfort and energy saving of radiant floor systems,  with the versatility and rapidity of fan radiators.This patented technology is called Bi2 fan radiator and it is the first water-filled system terminal that heats by low temperature radiation thanks to the front radiant panel and air conditions thanks to tangential ventilation. This achieves low-temperature year-round air conditioning, ensuring maximum comfort and energy saving.
