The solution for enhancing comfort with air-to-air heat pumps, improving summer comfort and making heating more efficient.
Olimpia Splendid is expanding and updating its range of air-to-air heat pumps with the Nexya S5E, a new family of split systems featuring wall-mounted indoor units, designed to meet the needs for comfort, efficiency, and installation flexibility in renovation projects. The range includes: four capacity sizes in the single-split version, from 10,000 to 24,000 BTU/h; five multi-split configurations, capable of cooling or heating up to five rooms; and two all-in-one solutions for heating, cooling, and DHW production, featuring a 100-liter wall-mounted tank or a 190-liter tower-style storage tank.
“Last season confirmed our positive growth trend in this segment, both in terms of value and volume, despite a slight market downturn,” – spiega Alice Pezzotta, product marketing manager at Olimpia Splendid – “The refresh of our single, multi, and all-in-one ranges stems from our desire to strengthen this positioning by further improving our product offering.”.

Superior comfort, thanks to AI
In the world of HVAC technology, AI is having an increasingly significant impact, and new-generation units are capable of analyzing large amounts of data, dynamically optimizing performance, and learning occupants’ habits. The Nexya S5E monosplit indoor units feature advanced functions, such as Eco+ Mode and Humidity Control, which reduce energy consumption and proactively customize comfort by leveraging the full potential of AI.
For superior comfort, the units also feature advanced air treatment capabilities: the new indoor units retain the three-stage filtration system of previous models—pre-filter, activated carbon filter, and cold catalyst filter—to remove impurities, odors, and dust. In the single-split version, it is also possible to activate automatic cleaning and drying of the evaporator, thanks to the 56°C sterilization function, which prevents the formation of bacteria inside the unit.
Even More Flexible DHW Production
For those seeking a single solution for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water production, all-in-one air-to-air heat pumps are increasingly the ideal choice for managing both indoor comfort units and the domestic hot water storage tank with a single system. The new 2026 range expands installation options by introducing, alongside the 190-liter tower-style storage tank, a new 100-liter wall-mounted storage tank, which is also ideal for small spaces.
Thanks to the parallel operation of the two circuits, the system remains extremely efficient in the new configuration as well because, during cooling operation, it recovers the heat normally expelled by the outdoor unit and uses it to produce DHW in the storage tank. Heat recovery can be total or partial, depending on the thermal power required by the water heater and the number of indoor units active in providing climate comfort

Simple Hybridization with a Smart Add-On
In situations where the air-to-air heat pump does not replace but rather supplements the main heating system, it is common practice to use it as an alternative to the boiler during the shoulder seasons, thereby delaying the boiler’s activation. Maximizing the potential of this combination and automating the switch between the two heating sources is now easily possible, thanks to a simple add-on: an innovative wireless radiator control compatible with the new Nexya S5E indoor units.
Installed on the radiators in your home and wirelessly connected to the OS Home app, it allows you to program scenarios that activate one of the two heating systems based on specific conditions, thereby optimizing comfort and energy consumption. An immediately accessible and effective hybridization solution that allows you to fully leverage the potential of air-to-air heat pumps, in every season of the year.
