The renovation of a historic building converted into a hospitality facility in Montepulciano involved upgrading the HVAC system with a full-electric solution, designed to respect the building's architectural features while ensuring high levels of guest comfort.

The main requirement was to increase the energy efficiency of the historic building without impacting the facade or existing architecture, avoiding the installation of outdoor units.
It was also essential to ensure high acoustic comfort for the rooms, optimize available indoor space, and adapt HVAC solutions to the architectural limitations typical of historic buildings.

The system was implemented using 20 Unico Evo air-to-air heat pumps without outdoor unit and 4 Unico Vertical units installed directly inside the spaces. Choosing heat pump technology made it possible to enhance the property's energy efficiency while avoiding outdoor unit installations, thereby preserving the architectural integrity of the historic palace.
The Unico Evo units were selected to ensure high acoustic comfort inside guest rooms and common areas, contributing to guest well-being and stay quality. Meanwhile, the Unico Vertical units were used to make the most of tight or unused corners and spaces, optimizing system integration within the historic interiors.
This solution enables effective climate control for both heating and cooling, guaranteeing constant comfort throughout the property's rooms while leaving the building's aesthetic value intact.
