The filtering system in most Olimpia Splendid air conditioners uses activated carbon and optical catalytic filters: so in addition to cooling or heating a room, the units also purify the air. All the indoor units are equipped with simple plastic filters to stop large dust particles: these need to be cleaned periodically under running water and left to dry in the shade, to ensure optimal performance of the appliance (maximum air intake). The outdoor unit does not require special care other than removing , from time to time, dust from the radiator with a jet of air; take care not to warp the aluminium fins as this may affect performance (reducing heat diffusion in the room).
