Olimpia Splendid presents the extension of its range of high-wall fan coils. 12 new references with up to 3.9 kW capacity in the over-door space

The interest of the residential building sector in fan coil units has been showing a positive trend for some years now, parallel to that of heat pump generators. In the Italian context and, increasingly, also in the European one, Olimpia Splendid has positioned itself as one of the most important manufacturers in the category, on the strength of the technological and aesthetic innovations introduced first to the market and of an increasingly complete range that responds to the various installation requirements. The latest addition to the Bi2 hydronic terminal family is consistent with this approach, offering a concentrate of power and design that broadens the possibilities of installation in the residential sector.
Over-door fan coils
In both new buildings and renovations, space is a central issue in architectural and plant design. The challenge is to integrate the most appropriate air conditioning technologies for the performance requirements of the building, while respecting the aesthetics and livability of the spaces. From a functional point of view, the space above the door is almost always unused and therefore an excellent place to place hydronic terminals. This is the premise behind the extension of the Bi2 Wall range - already designed for this type of installation - with 12 new references that reach up to 3.9 kW of power, respecting the compact design for which Olimpia Splendid is renowned. In fact, the new terminals are 30 cm high (the space above the door is about 50 cm) and 94 cm wide (the internal frames are about 100 cm). For the same performance, they are among the most compact on the market.
The design of the new terminals is the result of a synergic collaboration between Olimpia Splendid's R&D department and the designers Sebastiano Ercoli and Alessandro Garlandini, who created the aesthetics of the internationally awarded Bi2 terminals. The new Bi2 Wall units also feature a completely flat monobloc body with a motorised steel flap, which creates a family feeling with the other models in the same range to ensure aesthetically coordinated installations in the same environment.
Multiple control options
Like all the other models in the range, the new terminals also offer multiset control, i.e. integrated electronics that allow multiple control options: touch on the machine, remote control, wall control, home automation system or, new in 2024, from smartphones and tablets thanks to the mobile app and the new integrated Wi-Fi. From this year, all Olimpia Splendid Bi2 fan coils and fan radiators can be equipped with connectivity, thanks to a special accessory that integrates with the existing electronics. The latter is a feature that makes it possible to integrate Wi-Fi both in newly manufactured terminals and in those already installed in the home.
