Bi2 Air is included in the selection of ADI Design Index 2019

The cooler-radiator will be on display in Milan and Rome, together with all the products that are candidates for the Compasso d’Oro 2020

Bi2 Air, the ultra-slim cooler-radiator made in collaboration with Studio Ercoli + Gralandini, has been included in the ADI Design Index 2019 among the products vying for the XXVI Compasso d’Oro: the world’s oldest and most prestigious award for industrial design, which will be assigned in 2020 by an international jury. Bi2 Air, together with all the products selected by ADI (Association for Industrial Design), will be on display from October to November in two important shows open to the public, in Milan and Rome, dedicated to valorising the quality of Italian design.

Roberto Saccone, President of Olimpia Splendid
For Olimpia Splendid, the inclusion in the ADI Design Index 2019 is an important recognition that rewards a historical characteristic of the company: the attention to the design of the products that, in addition to being of high engineering content, have to be comfortable under all aspects. This award is even more interesting if one considers that it is destined to a product – a cooler-radiator – that belongs to a market segment where aesthetics and the ability to promote itself as a furnishing element is not very common.”

Ercoli & Garlandini, Designer
For Bi2 Air we have worked more on subtraction than addition, proposing a design that is essential, light and clean. We decided to concentrate on just a few details, studied with care, to create a product that can enter into any type of domestic environment without seeming invasive. We are pleased that this extremely delicate approach, respectful of people’s intimacy, has been appreciated and awarded with this important recognition.”
