When we imagine the future of the world we live in, climate change is just one of the factors to consider. Social transformations, housing choices and new ways of interacting profoundly influence the way we live in cities, homes and everyday spaces. What will tomorrow’s way of living look like? Olimpia Splendid has sought the answer to this question through an innovative artistic project and an unconventional exploration of the theme.
For a few days, the company became an artist’s residence: a new way of collaborating with the art world, which saw the emergence of a close partnership between Olimpia Splendid and Silvia Bairo, a versatile illustrator with a keen sensitivity towards humanity, its dreams and aspirations. Starting from the company’s values charter, a collective working group was set up to explore the theme of living in the future, leading to the identification of seven new living archetypes, each representing a distinct personality and setting of daily life, to which the artist has dedicated seven illustrations rich in meaning.
